DANCE NYC - Media Kit

Ads and Listings on Dance/NYC’s website give you the ability to highlight your events, products, or organization in a highly visual way. Ads appear on the Dance/NYC homepage and calendar page, and/or in our weekly "See Something Different" Monday eblast, and are clickable and can link potential customers to your box office or company website. Listings include free opportunities to publicize upcoming auditions, choreographic opportunities, job, internship and volunteer postings, as well as calendar listings for upcoming events. LISTINGS: 5 simple steps

1. Sign up for a user account through the dashboard (dancenyc.org/dashboard.php) and log in! (Please select 'non-profit' or 'Dance/USA Member' when registering for an account. If you decide to ever purchase ads or featured listings, this will make it possible for you to be charged the correct amount upon checkout. There is no fee to sign up for a user account.)

2. Find the type of listing you'd like and click on the blue button to Create A Listing.

3. For Calendar listings choose between the Free Standard Listing or the Featured Paid Listing. Featured Listings are more prominent and allow you to upload an image or embed a video to accompany your listing.

4. Fill in the appropriate fields and submit. If you selected a Featured Listing, you will then be directed to Google Checkout to complete payment for your listing.

5. Check the status of your listing and view it on the site. If you need to edit your listing at any time, simply return to your dashboard, click on the listing type to view your listings, and click on edit to edit individual listings.


Please note: For featured listings, please note that you need to purchase a listing for each instance/show in your run if you'd like to advertise the entire event. Alternately, you may feature select performances and then use the free listings to cover the rest.

ADS: 7 simple steps

1. Sign up for a user account through the dashboard (dancenyc.org/dashboard.php) and log in! (Please select 'non-profit' or 'Dance/USA Member' when registering for an account. This will make it possible for you to be correctly charged your special rate upon checkout.)

2. Underneath ADS click on the blue button to Place An Ad.

3. Click on Standard Ad Package or A La Carte Eblast Ad to view pricing details and ad specs. After making your decision click Select This Package.

4. Ads run for one week, and eblast ads are sent in our weekly "See Something Different" Monday eblast. Choose your Ad's Campaign Start Date from the drop down calendar. Choose wisely as this date cannot be changed.

5. For each Ad Unit upload an image that has been formatted to the appropriate specs, or you have the option of formatting within the dashboard. After uploading an image the box will blink green if it is acceptable or red if it is unacceptable. After uploading an image that blinks green, be sure to then select that image file from the dropdown menu.

6. Enter alternate text and the url you would like the ad to link to. Alternate text should describe what the image is but will only appear if the image does not load.

7. After all ads in your package have a green checkmark, you'll see the Continue button on the bottom right corner. You now have the option to Create More Ads or Checkout with Google Checkout.

Check your dashboard for your ad's status, run dates, and how many Impressions, Rollovers or Clickthroughs.
• Impressions - the number of times your ad is served to users by search engines or potentially viewed.
• Rollovers - the number of times a user's mouse rolls over your ad.
• Clickthroughs - the number of times your ad has been clicked.

AD GUIDELINES & INFO

•All advertisements must be placed through DANCENYC.ORG
•To be included in our weekly "See Something Different" Monday eblast, all eblast ads must be placed the Thursday by 6pm before you would like your ad to appear.
•All photos received must include a credit. You must acknowledge you have obtained the rights to use this image publicly and release Dance/NYC of all liability in publishing the photo.
•Ads run per week, and we regret that shorter intervals are not available. A week is defined as seven days from the start of the campaign. Multiple week runs are available.
•Ads appear on a re-load rotation. Each time a page is reloaded the next ad assigned to that page will load.
•The Dance/NYC ad system places equal weight to all ads within a page. This means all advertisements assigned to a specific page will be viewed equally.
