Rehearsals will be held on Friday, February 12, from 12:15- 5 pm
Performances will be held on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday February 14th at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Commitment for both days is from 10:30-3:00.p.m. A break between performances and lunch will be provided.
These positions will require some basic physical strength and volunteers are required to come to the orientation and all rehearsals.

Poet Theatricals is looking for qualified professionals!
We are currently casting for Celebrity Cruise Lines’ Solstice, Equinox and new Eclipse cruise ships for immediate and future contracts. Brief rehearsal periods in Fort Lauderdale, Florida followed by six-month performance contracts on Caribbean and Mediterranean itineraries: current and future contracts available year-round.
SEEKING DANCERS:
Male and female, 18+, classically trained with strong ballet and jazz technique as well as improvisational skills. Should be willing to and able to train and perform at heights up to 25 feet. Note: If contracted, some dancers will be trained by our in-house aerial trainers to perform various aerial choreography in addition to dance choreography.
Female dancers should wear stage make up, fishnets and heels. Male dancers wear dance sneakers. All should wear form fitting-dance attire.
SEEKING VOCALISTS:
Male and female, 18+, theatrical singers with excellent vocal technique and versatility needed for Broadway-style, Cirque-style and pop productions. Males: Seeking tenors, must have a strong G. Females: Altos must have a strong belt to a an F, Sopranos must have a high C. Bring sheet music in appropriate key, and be prepared to learn several short lines of music and a short movement combination if you are invited to a callback.
All should be willing and able to be suspended up to 25 feet.

BodyVox Dance
BodyVox, a leading contemporary dance company under the artistic direction of Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland, is auditioning for their 2010-2011 season. Based in Portland Oregon, BodyVox is a freewheeling, multi-media, boundary-bending movement troupe. BodyVox’s unique approach to theater assimilates all possibilities for movement; endows it with breathtaking physicality; enriches it with striking imagery and embellishes it with humor, wit and whimsy to create refined dancing that knows no boundaries.
BodyVox is auditioning men and women with a strong background in ballet and contemporary dance for the 2010/2011 season. Improvisation and acrobatic skills are desirable.
Positions available are for both BodyVox and BodyVox-2 (an apprentice company). BodyVox’s season runs from September 2010 to June 2011. There are multiple tours during the season, and the home season includes performances with the Portland Opera.

WORKSHOP AUDITION Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theatre
KHDT will host a technique and repertory workshop in February 2010 that will serve as an audition for our Fall 2010 Season at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, April Benefit at City Center Studios, and possible future work. There will be a performance and reception at the end of the workshop that will be open to the public. The dancers selected for the Ailey Season, will receive a performance stipend.
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays February 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28
Times: Saturdays 2:00-6:00 pm, Sundays 1:00-5:00 pm
Cost: $240 for the full workshop (only $15 per 2 hr class!)
Location: Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, 330 Broome St. (between Bowery and Christie). Directions: B/D to Grand or 6 to Spring.
Each day will begin with a Graham-based technique class, followed by a repertory rehearsal, both led by Artistic Director and Master Teacher Kazuko Hirabayashi. Kazuko's work is both intensely physical and highly dramatic, challenging her dancers' technique and expressive artistry. Although the class is Graham-based, all training backgrounds are welcome and the work is contemporary in nature.
